Just like every game nowadays, this is a roguelike and an open world game with RPG elements. However, this is from 1995! So it was certainly ahead of its time!

Excellent audio and some cool locations are the highlight although you will need to get used to the lower framerate and animation style to get the most out of it. Plenty of cool weapons and trinkets to randomly find and even a Minecraft-like seed system for world generation! Even some really nice bosses including a flame hydra.
